We run three boat dives per day from May 1st till the middle of August and then two dives per day till the end of September. There are also regular boat night dives each month or by group request. We specialise in taking out complete beginners and offer daily, our three hour try-a-dive program which consists of a short diving theory lesson followed by a boat trip to a lagoon and your first shallow water dive accompanied by your instructor. Just go to the "learn to dive" section of the web site for full details. For inexperienced divers and newly qualified divers we have many sheltered, colourful and fun dive sites in the 10 - 15 meter depth range, all within a ten minute boat ride. The scuba refresher course is also a great way to spend a day out diving from the boat with an instructor while brushing up on your diving skills. |
Kenmare Bay Diving offers diver training courses such as the Open Water Diver course. This 5 day course teaches the student how to be a fully qualified diver and results in an internationally recognised qualification in Scuba Diving. We also run the Advanced, Rescue, search & recovery, night, deep, navigation, boat, nitrox, fish ID. Divemaster, wreck, u/w photographer and other specialty courses. All our course dives are done from the boat in various dive sites around the stunning waters of Kenmare Bay, which has been one of the few places in Kerry, Ireland to be designated as a special area of conservation. The natural shelter created by the Beara peninsula and the Kerry coast, as well as the numerous islands dotted around Kenmare Bay make the perfect location for all weather diving. |

Other marine life regularly seen while diving are lobster, crayfish, dog fish, mackerel, Pollack, ling, conger eels, wrasse, plaice, seals, pipe fish, sea urchins, sponges, soft corals, kelp forests and more. |
